Ozy Media CEO says the company is open for business, only days after announcing that it would shut down.
Last week The New York Times revealed that Ozy's COO, Samir Rao, impersonated a YouTube executive on a fundraising call with Goldman Sachs and accused them of inflating their audience numbers. After growing backlash, the company said it was shutting down and fired most of its staff. Now, CEO Carlos Watson says the board's decision was "premature" and has been reversed, saying the company would improve. Ozy Media produces podcasts, television series and events.
