Instagram ditches the IGTV brand and combines all video but Reels into new "Instagram Video" format.
In a move to organize the mess in the Instagram app, with different products that are very similar (Posts, Stories, Reels, IGTV, Live, Highlights...), both long-form IGTV videos and Instagram Feed videos will be combined. Any video people see (long and short) on Instagram will behave the same: tap anywhere on the video for fullscreen and then keep scrolling to discover more videos or tap the back button to exit. Reels (their short-form video TikTok rival) remains unchanged and separate. Videos can be up to 60 minutes in length. They're also adding trimming and filters to videos.
