Hertz, the rental car company, ordered 100k Teslas for $4.2B, after exiting bankruptcy in July.
The deal is the largest order ever for an electric vehicle fleet. Tesla will deliver the Model 3s over the next 14 months, and will be available for rent in major US markets and parts of Europe starting in early November. The size of the order implies that Hertz is paying close to list prices. Link
