Called Project Pulse, the fridge will be able to detect when certain products are about to run out or expire and notify users so they can order more from Amazon or Whole Foods. It will also predict what users want to order and track purchasing habits. Amazon will use the same computer-vision technology it uses at cashierless Amazon Go stores.
