President Biden pushes for new right-to-repair rules that will let consumers fix their devices anywhere.
Biden is preparing an executive order that forces companies to make it easier on consumers to repair their devices on their own and at independent shops. The FTC will decide on the final rules, which would require manufacturers to allow consumers and repair shops to obtain the components and documentation required to fix mobile phones and other products.
