Intel will spin out its autonomous and assisted driving business Mobileye as a public company in 2022.
Mobileye's IPO valuation is estimated to be over $50B. Intel acquired the Israeli company for $15.3B in 2017. Mobileye's revenues have tripled since acquired, they generated $326M in revenue during the third quarter, up 39% YOY. Intel will maintain majority ownership. Mobileye has launched self-driving vehicle testing programs and plans to introduce a robotaxi service in partnership with Sixt in Germany next year. Link
