Magic Leap raises another $500M and will release its slimmer second-gen AR headset in 2022 with twice the field of view.
The funding gives them a $2B valuation, very similar to their round in October 2014 where they raised $542 million at a $2B valuation. They've raised a total of $3.5B in funding and nearly shut down last year. There aren't many details about their Magic Leap 2 AR glasses, they said they "will be the industry's smallest and lightest device built for enterprise", "designed to increase business adoption of AR".
