Apple Search Ads now account for 58% of iOS app installs from ads, up from only 17% a year ago.
This is due to Apple's recent ATT change in May (with iOS 14.5). Apple's privacy changes made it difficult for rival ad networks (Facebook, Google, Snap, Tiktok) to track and attribute mobile ad conversions. So many advertisers just moved to Apple's ad network which does a better job at showing advertisers which audiences and keywords got conversions. Analysts project Apple will make $5B off ads this year and $20B per year by 2024. Quite a move by Apple, in the name of user privacy! Link
