A new book called "Power Play: Tesla, Elon Musk and the Bet of the Century" by Wall Street Journal reporter Tim Higgins says that Tesla was in serious financial trouble and Tim Cook had an idea: Apple buys Tesla. Elon Musk had one condition: they he remains CEO. Not of Tesla, of Apple! Tim cook said "F— you" and hung up. In response, Musk now tweeted that he never spoke with Tim Cook, that he wanted to meet with Cook about Apple buying Tesla but Cook refused to meet. Tesla was worth about 6% of today's value. Link
