They're trying to ride the NFT bandwagon, similar to NBA Top Shot, so they're connecting select creators and celebrities like Lil Nas X, Bella Poarch, Grimes, and Gary Vaynerchuk with prominent NFT creators to create one-of-one limited edition NFTs that celebrate their viral videos. They claim that "TikTok NFTs provide a way for creators to be recognized and rewarded for their content, and for fans to own a culturally-significant moment on TikTok". The proceeds from the NFT sales will "largely go directly to the creators and NFT artists involved", however some will go to charity. The drop site will go live on Oct. 6th with Lil Nas X going first. Link
