Tesla launched an insurance service in Texas that uses real-time driving behavior.
Tesla already offers insurance in CA but the new Texas launch uses behavior data to set premiums based on the owner's "safety score". Typically insurance providers look at credit, age and gender, but Tesla says they won't even look at customers' claim history and driving records.
